Rather than defining handsome, it is usually said that 'handsome is what handsome does'. Extending the simile, it is difficult to fully articulate all that goes into the making of a good engineer or professional. On a macro level we can say that an engineer or professional has to be a good human being, a good citizen, a good offspring who makes his/her parents proud and one that believes in his/her capabilities. This calls for grooming students in a variety of spheres with special emphasis on an inquisitive and analytical mind, a desire to apply what one learns, update the knowledge base, a strong sence of integrity and commitment to common good. KEC, an institution in the oxford of UP, strives to shape engineers and professional who can excel in their field. The emphasis is on developing a well-rounded personality in the students who will be trained to be prudent and practical with an ability to balance dreams/vision with ground realities and constraints. Our philosophy is that 'students must learn'. The process of learning is not just class room learning but encompasses a wider spectrum of activities predicated on compassion, interaction, dialogue and commitment. I wish all the students, faculty and staff of KEC the very best in all spheres of activity.
