INTRODUCTION

An academic institution strives to develop its students by way of inculcating the appropriate technical/ managerial skills necessary to survive and sustain in a dynamic, competitive and most complex professional fields. Faculty constitutes the backbone of all such endeavors. It is the zeal, enthusiasm, effectiveness, efficiency as well as the ability to deal with differentiated activities with ease which ensures the success of an institution. It is therefore essential to ensure that Faculty is equipped with suitable inherent qualities and do understand their specific roles and responsibilities vis-à-vis the expectations from the top Management.


OBJECTIVE

This programme aims to help them:


Assimilate, accept and accommodate with the organizational culture and climate.
Analyze the role expectations and role performance of Faculty from Management’s point of view.
Understand the concept of becoming a teacher and getting involved in teaching.
Developing aptitude and skills for preparation and implementation of teaching plan.
Understand the technique of class room management.
Aware about feedback mechanism.

Use of teaching aids e.g. power point presentation, blackboard teaching, OHP.
Integrative Teaching- Suitable blending of the subject topics, the outside world, Industrial interface, Case studies etc.
Instructional design- concept and its application.
Feedback mechanism- giving and receiving feedback.
Assignments.
Assessment and evaluation.
Self Development and Behavior with students.
