Risk Assessment

Risk assessment of newly approached process or methodology for achieving specific target has a long history. In ancient days, the Athenians used to assess risk even before making any decision. Assessment of risk and its management was established as a scientific field about 30-40 years ago. The term Risk Assessment is used to cover the overall process or methodology where one can pick out hazards and main risk elements which have capacity to cause harm, investigate and look over the risk associated with that hazard and formulate the suitable methods to abolish the hazard, or minimize the risk associated with hazard if it’s not possible to eliminate the hazard.

Risk assessment is necessary if we are introducing any new process, activity or introducing any change to existing process or activity. It may study newly introduced products, machinery, tools, or equipment change.
