Communication Skills Lab

An Engineering student’s success in the “On Campus Recruitment” is mainly based on their demonstrations of communication skills. A Communication Lab is a facility where a student can learn a language with the help and guidance of a faculty through a system, to improve the speaking and listening capacity of students. The labs are specially designed to improve the communication skills at individual and group level. Trained faculty help students fine tune their communication with the help of communication tools, software, stereophonic aids, laptops, projector screens etc. The primary function of the lab is to assist students with the speech, writing, presentations, delivery and communication process. Faculties assist students with skill development in interpersonal, group and public platforms.

The Communication Lab can take inputs from recorded tapes, audios and videos, CDs, etc. A proficient teacher in the English language is the only external requirement to monitor the students during the learning process. They divide the students into small groups to listen and respond to the given topic also interact with the peers through conversational exercises.

Benefits of Communication Skills Lab:

  • Communication Lab enhances the listening skills of students.
  • Students are more attentive in the lab than in the theory class.
  • Practical approach gives freedom to students to learn at their own pace.
  • Communication Lab develops the skill of presentation with power point and builds self confidence.
  • Active participation in Lab results in effective spoken language.
