PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POS)

Undergraduate engineering programmes are designed to prepare graduates to attain the following program outcomes:

  • Engineering Knowledge: Apply the scientific knowledge and engineering fundamentals with specialization in computer science in solving complex engineering problems.
  • Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate and analyze complex engineering problems with meaningful conclusions using the basic principles of sciences and computer Engineering.
  • Design / Development of solution: Develop appropriate solutions to complex engineering problems and design the system components or processes to meet the specific requirements with due consideration for public health & safety, cultural, societal and environmental aspects.
  • Conduct Investigation of complex problems: Application of research oriented knowledge and techniques including design of experiments, analysis and synthesis of information and interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern Tool usage: Develop, select and apply the modern engineering IT tools and techniques for simulation and modeling of complex engineering activities.
  • The Engineer and Society: Apply appropriate knowledge to assess societal, health & safety, legal & cultural issues and understand consequent responsibilities pertaining to the professional engineering practices.
  • Environment and sustainability: Provide sustainable development with positive impact on the society & environment.
  • Ethics: Perform engineering practices with professional ethics and responsibilities.
  • Individual and Team work: Work effectively as an individual, as a member or a leader in diverse and multidisciplinary systems.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with engineering community and with society at large while dealing with engineering activities such as to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective documentation & presentation and give & receive clear instructions.
  • Project Management & Finance: Manage the projects in multidisciplinary environment as a member or a leader in a team with knowledge and understanding of engineering & management principles.
  • Life Long Learning: Capable to engage in independent and lifelong learning to adapt the technological changes.
