Faculty Development Program on “IoT (Internet of Things)”

A one-week Faculty Development Program (13-17 January 2020) was organised in department of Computer Science & Engineering on “Internet of Things” at Krishna Engineering College, Ghaziabad in the Association of EICT, IIT Roorkee Recognized by AICTE at par with QIP for recognition/credits.
The purpose of this FDP is to expose the faculty members/research scholars to emerging technologies in the area of Internet of Things. This course provides practical foundation-level training that enables immediate and effective participation in ‘Internet of Things’ and its related projects. The event began at 9:30 am, at P2P Hall on 13th January 2020. 60 participants from various departments & organisations attended this program. The welcome address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Tiwari (Director KEC). Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Tiwari (Director KEC) presented a sapling to the expert Mr. Dinesh Ponnuswamy and welcomed him to the FDP. Following this, the expert addressed the gathering on Internet of Things and its related projects.

Faculty Development Program on “Computer Forensics and Cyber Crimes”

Department of Computer Science Engineering, KEC, Ghaziabad organized Five days FDP on “Computer Forensics and Cyber Crimes” sponsored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, under TEQIP-III from 8th July to 12th July 2019. The knowledge sharing during the FDP by experts was aimed at understanding the basics of computer forensics. The speakers were from renowned institutes and had a huge experience in dealing with cyber crimes and ethical hacking. The speakers had experience in dealing with various high profile criminal cases in India and abroad.


The whole FDP aimed at enhancing knowledge of the participants regarding basic issues of cyber security. The overall aim and objectives of the FDP were as follows:

  • Increasing awareness about cyber crimes

  • Learning basics of ethical hacking

  • Learning how to be "safe" on social media

  • Discussion of well known viruses and Ransomware attacks


The key topics discussed during the 5 days FDP were as follows:

  • Motivation behind cyber awareness

  • Cyber crimes and its types

  • Viruses, worms and Trojan horses

  • Introduction to ethical hacking

  • Basics of computer forensics

  • Biometric security

  • Case studies of cyber crime cases

Faculty Development Program on “Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics”

KEC, Ghaziabad organized Eight days FDP on “Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics” sponsored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, under TEQIP-III from 26th June to 3rd July 2019. The knowledge sharing during the FDP by experts for understanding the differences between values and skills, and in understanding the need, basic guidelines, content and the process of value education.

Faculty Development Programme on Big Data with Hadoop

Faculties have the most important role to play in shaping the engineering student’s career and unarguably an institution having the best faculties who are skilled in latest technologies will top the charts in coming years.Faculty development program (FDP) has been considered as a stand-alone educational pedagogy in fostering knowledge and professional skills of faculty.
