VLSI and Embedded System

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has conducted one day workshop on “VLSI and Embedded System”, on January 31, 2020 for 2nd and 3rd year ECE students.
Vaibhav Mishra, Expertise in VLSI & Embedded System, PinE Training Academy has talked on upcoming technologies used in VLSI and Embedded Systems for ECE students. He also told that the role of core field (VLSI and Embedded System) in shaping the future because to get a career in core, students must have strong knowledge of basic of electronics. Preparing yourself

Department of Information Technology in association with Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has conducted one day workshop on “Preparing yourself”, on January 28, 2020 for IT, ECE and CSE students.
Mr. Amit Kumar Sharma, Sr. Program Manager & Technical Head, Novel Supertv Digitech Pvt. Ltd. discussed about how to prepare yourself for upcoming jobs interviews and tests. He mentioned that students have to learn operating system, linux, programming language, coding, database, SQL and networking as theses are in demand in industry. He also guides and motivates students to practice and focus on reasoning, aptitude and to enhance their technical skills. He also shares his knowledge and experience in his expertise domain i.e. DAS (Digital Addressable System), components of DAS like SMS (Subscriber management system), CAS (Conditional Access System), Head end compression system, STB (Set Top Box). Students gained knowledge about current industry scenario and learnt how they have to prepare themselves for upcoming placement tests and interviews.

Artificial Intelligence

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized one day workshop in association with “Training Basket Pvt. Ltd.(Cisco Networking)” On“Artificial Intelligence” for 2nd year students on 24thJanuary 2020.
The objective of this workshop is the real time industry exposure & experience from the industry expert.
Expert from the Training Basket Pvt. Ltd (Cisco Networking) delivered lecture on the Introduction and scope of the upcoming technology in Artificial Intelligence.

Machine Learning

One day workshop in association with “Amazing Training Basket Pvt. Ltd.” on “Machine Learning” was organized for 2nd and 3rd year students on 16th September 2019. The objective of this workshop is the real time industry exposure & experience from the industry expert. Expert from the Amazing Training Basket Pvt. Ltd delivered lecture on the Introduction and scope of the upcoming technology in Machine learning.

Aspects of International Applications

A workshop on “Aspects of International Applications” has been conducted for final year students on 28/08/19.
Dr. Anurag Srivastav, University of Turin Italy has addressed the final year students. He guided students regarding higher education in various universities abroad. He discussed about the opportunities and eligibility for higher education. The interaction with students also included the various myths of international applications, “how to write statement of purpose and recommendation letter?”, “How to approach top rank university?”and many more aspects.

Carrier opportunity In VLSI industry

The Department of Electronic And Communication Engineering organized one day workshop on “Carrier opportunity In VLSI industry” on 17 Aug 2019. Mr Deepak Kumar, Design & Verification Engineerfrom 3ST Technologies has delivered the lecture on the various aspects of VLSI design.


The areas covered by him during the workshops are as follows:




  • Test on awareness in VLSI domain and Digital Logic Design & MOSFET
  • VLSI awareness, VLSI Design Career Opportunities as Design & Verification Engineer
  • Introduction to Verilog basics
  • Writing simple hardware program in Verilog
  • Announcement of the result & elaboration of Answers
  • Demo on FPGA kit of a simple project
  • Sample exercise to be done by students (provided the FPGA kit)

IOT Workshop

IOT Workshop in association with CETPA was conducted on 1st September, 2018. Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming ubiquitous as Edge Sensor Nodes are getting intelligent by each day. So intelligence lies in their capability to transmit their information directly to a cloud and also to be controlled /actuated from the cloud. The ease and simplicity in using the Internet, which was not thought previously, opens up a new era of Imagination and Deployment for a connected world with infinite possibilities.

Workshop on Embedded System

Workshop on Embedded System in association with CETPA was held on 21st August, 2018. In Automated world, Electronics Gadgets have one or another form of Embedded Systems responsible for their Intelligent Functioning. Electronic devices are rapidly finding applications in many of the areas, from simple coffee vending machines to space science to environmental friendly products such as big belly etc. It covered the topics Embedded C, Mapping 8051 Architecture to Embedded C.

Embedded System workshop

Embedded System workshop was conducted in association with CETPA on 21st September, 2018. It introduced to KEIL Cross-Compiler & its features i.e. the complete software development environment for a wide range of Arm Cortex-M based microcontroller devices.

Arduino (Uno)

Arduino (Uno) conducted by Aptron Solutions Private Limited on 17th March 2017. The objective of this workshop was to familiarize the students with Arduino environment and simulation environment for its coding. In this workshop the students understood the basic procedures for working with Arduino, its architecture and connectivity with input output devices. They also studied programming to control things like lights or motors along with inputs.


LABVIEW workshop on 28th February, 2016 was conducted by LabVIEW Academy. It explained that LabVIEW, short for Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench, is a programming environment in which you create programs using a graphical notation (connecting functional nodes via wires through which data flows) unlike C, C++ or JAVA. It is a system-design platform and development environment for visual programming.

Line follower Robotics

Line follower Robotics workshop was organized on 27th September 2016 by Autronicals Infotech Pvt. Ltd. It covered the robot motion control, i.e. the movement of the wheels. Also included the control circuitry which involves the use of sensors to sense the path and the microcontroller or any other device to control the motor operation through the motor drivers, based on the sensor output.

MATLAB (control and DSP Tool Box)

MATLAB (control and DSP Tool Box) workshop was organized on 24th September 2016 by APTRON Infotech Pvt. Ltd. It explained about the DSP System Toolbox™ which provides algorithms, apps, and scopes for designing, simulating, and analyzing signal processing systems in MATLAB® and Simulink. Models could be prepared with real-time DSP systems for communications, radar, audio, medical devices, IoT, and other applications.

Netcomm- Based on Digital India

Netcomm- Based on Digital India Workshop was organized by Milestone Achievers Pvt. Ltd on 29th March, 2016. It covered the Digital India programme of the Government of India with a vision to transform India into a Digitally Empowered and Educated society.


MATLAB workshop conducted by SOFCON Pvt. Ltd. on 15th March, 2016 to enhance the MATLAB programming knowledge of students.

Automation (PLC/ SCADA)

Automation (PLC/ SCADA) Workshop apprised the students of Industrial automation (PLC/ SCADA). It was conducted by APTRON Infotech Pvt. Ltd. on 3rd November, 2015.

Short Circuit (Robotics)

Short Circuit (Robotics) workshop was conducted in three phase by I3Indiya on 8th October, 2015. It explained the basic component of microprocessor. Assembling of components on bread board and about DTMF (dual-tone, multi-frequency) software.

Embedded System Design with AVR, ARM & PIC controller

Embedded System Design with AVR, ARM & PIC controller was held on 16th September, 2015 by Embedded Technologies. It explains the Microcontroller, a compressed microcomputer manufactured to control the functions of embedded systems in office machines, robots, home appliances, motor vehicles, and a number of other gadgets. The session covered the basic information of microcontroller and comparative study of 8051 Microcontroller, ARM Microcontroller, PIC Microcontroller and AVR Microcontroller
