Workshop on Preparing yourself

Department of Information Technology in association with Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has conducted one day workshop on “Preparing yourself”, on January 28, 2020 for IT, ECE and CSE students.
Mr. Amit Kumar Sharma, Sr. Program Manager & Technical Head, Novel Supertv Digitech Pvt. Ltd. discussed about how to prepare yourself for upcoming jobs interviews and tests. He mentioned that students have to learn operating system, linux, programming language, coding, database, SQL and networking as theses are in demand in industry. He also guides and motivates students to practice and focus on reasoning, aptitude and to enhance their technical skills. He also shares his knowledge and experience in his expertise domain i.e. DAS (Digital Addressable System), components of DAS like SMS (Subscriber management system), CAS (Conditional Access System), Head end compression system, STB (Set Top Box). Students gained knowledge about current industry scenario and learnt how they have to prepare themselves for upcoming placement tests and interviews.

Workshop on Information Security Awareness

Department of Information Technology in association with Department of Computer Science and Engineering has conducted one day workshop- “Information Security Awareness” on January 24, 2020 for IT (All Students), CSE and ECE 3rd Year students.
Dr. Neha Bajpai, Principal Technical Officer, CDAC, Noida discussed about “Information Security Awareness”. She mentioned that Information security awareness is an evolving part of information security that focuses on raising consciousness regarding potential risks of the rapidly evolving forms of information and the rapidly evolving threats to that information which target human behavior. As threats have matured and information has increased in value, attackers have increased their capabilities and expanded to broader intentions, developed more attack methods and methodologies and are acting on more diverse motives. As information security controls and processes have matured, attacks have matured to circumvent controls and processes.

 

Workshop on MACHINE LEARNING

Department of Information Technology in association with Department of Computer Science & Engineering has conducted an interactive workhop on MACHINE LEARNING on 24th September 2019by Mr Parikh Jain who is the co-founder of the wonderful CODING NINJAS.

 

Workshop on Blockchain Technology

Department of Information Technology in association with Department of Computer Science & Engineering has conducted an interactive workhop on Blockchain Technology on 23th September 2019.
Blockchain is one of the important topics which is gaining a lot of attention of the people nowadays but they didn't know what exactly it does and how it works and for that there was workshop held in our college on blockchain Technology.

 

Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights

Department of Information Technology in Association with IEDC – KEC conducted 2 days Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights on 5th and 6th December 2018. This was sponsored by: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.

Workshop on “ETHICAL HACKING” (19th & 20th April 2018).

Students delivered lectures on emerging technologies used in hacking. It was a wonderful session for the individuals having keen interest in hacking. They explained strong concepts of ethical Hacking sometimes called as Penetration Testing which is an act of intruding/penetrating into system or networks to find out threats, vulnerabilities in those systems which a malicious attacker may find and exploit causing loss of data, financial loss or other major damages.  The purpose of ethical hacking is to improve the security of the network or systems by fixing the vulnerabilities found during testing.
