Faculty Development Program on “Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics”

KEC, Ghaziabad organized Eight days FDP on “Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics” sponsored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, under TEQIP-III from 26th June to 3rd July 2019. The knowledge sharing during the FDP by experts for understanding the differences between values and skills, and in understanding the need, basic guidelines, content and the process of value education.

Faculty Development Program on “Sustainable Green Manufacturing and it’s applications”

Five days FDP on Sustainable Green Manufacturing and its applications’ sponsored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, under TEQIP-III was organized by the department of Mechanical Engineering from 17th June to 21th June 2019. The knowledge sharing during the FDP by experts from different domains was intended to improve the teaching learning process and benefit the society at large.

The Eminent speakers who conducted the sessions form IIT Delhi, DTU, Jamia MIlia Islamia, IIT Roorkee and informed about the manufacturing world, it’s advantageous to focus on both green and sustainability. Although targeted improvements can be beneficial to your society, looking at the “bigger picture” maximizes the perks of an environmental focus. Some critical ways were discussed to embrace sustainability and green to positively affect the society.

Faculty Development Programme on -Total Quality Management (TQM)

The aim of India’s higher education system is attaining sustainable development and achieving higher growth rates which could be enabled through creation, transmission, and dissemination of knowledge. Demand for qualified teachers and faculty members over the next few years would be substantial and will become extremely critical for states to expand the current institutional capacities, not only of infrastructure but also of qualified and trained faculty members.

A Five Days FDP was organized in KEC-Mechanical Engineering Department on 13th December, to 19th December 2016 on Total Quality Management. The participants in overall enhanced their pedagogy skills in the subject, Total Quality Management.

  • By way of knowing the significance of the various definitions, concepts, principle, benefits and Quality Gurus of TQM.

  • Understanding the clarity of various approaches in case of implementing TQM in industries.

  • Interactions have been done over the Quality Management Systems such as benefits of ISO registration, ISO 9000 series standards and ISO9001 requirements.

  • Detailed study has been experienced on the role of TQM leader, Characteristics of quality leaders, leadership concepts, ethics, etc.

  • Discussion has been covered on customer perception of quality, customer complaints, customer retention and case studies.

  • Understanding the various tools used for statistical process control such as Pareto diagram, Flow diagram, cause and effect diagram, check list sheet, various control charts, etc.

Faculty Development Programme on CATIA

Higher education at all levels in the country is witnessing a consistent growth pattern marked by the setting up of new institutions and the improvement of the existing ones. KEC is one of the Best Engineering College that have the unprecedented growth in India in the past two decades has led to a shortage of updated and well-trained faculty members and has created a quality challenge for education. In recent years, though KEC-MECHANICAL Engineering Department introduced to develop the skills among faculties, the same is not true for educational planning and implementation. There is a need for well-trained faculty members who will help improve programs to produce quality graduates to meet the future industry demand.

KEC-MECHANICAL Department organizes the FDP on CATIA to bridge the gap between the academia and industry on 25th October to 27th October 2016. The participants work in a number of projects that involve the use of design softwares. CATIA helps to reduce manufacturing costs as it saves time and efforts required for manual designing.

FDP ON Mechanics of Solids – An approach towards best teaching learning process in AKTU

Krishna Engineering College is highly devoted to enriching the Knowledge of faculties through interaction with eminent personalities from industries and academics. Mechanical Engineering is the oldest and core branch of Engineering and formal education has undergone metamorphosis with passage of time. A five days FDP on Mechanics of solids, sponsored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, was organized by the department of Mechanical Engineering from 5th Feb to -9th June 2017. The knowledge sharing during the FDP by experts from different domains was intended to improve the teaching learning process and benefit the society at large.
