Summer/Winter school of Robotics

Krishna Engineering College organises summer/winter schools to fill the gap between academia and industry.  These summer/winter schools workshop provides a hand on experience about the robotics. Students will learn to control robots using standard electrical and programming concepts. Modern toys have some of the most visible forms of robotics at use. Some popular projects of mechanical departments are Remote-control cars, planes, and drones that allow you to control the robot’s movement in realtime.

Electronic Eqipments

Internet of Things (IoT) is an upcoming technology which is going to revolutionise all the students of mechanical engineering in the electronic gadgets that we see in the coming years. By attending this winter school, you will practically learn about the concepts behind the Internet of Things (IoT), WiFi communication, Arduino Architecture and its programming. As this is an upcoming technology and not really included in the curriculum, students pursuing 2nd & 3rd year can undergo the training for a better understanding of this technology.

During the workshop,the students of KEC will get a hands-on experience on the following components,

  • Soil Moisture Sensor - This is used to sense the moisture change in the soil

  • Arduino Uno - It acts as the brain of the system and sends voltage to the water pump

  • WiFi Module - This is integrated into the system, so that the user can get updates remotely

  • Water Pump - It receives the voltage from Arduino and turns ON/ OFF the water flow.

Summer/Winter Schools on Auto CAD

AutoCAD is a computer-aided software drafting program. It is used for a number of applications like creating blueprints for buildings, bridges and computer chips to name a few. AutoCAD is 2D and 3D computer aided drafting software application. KEC organises the summer/winter School at AutoCAD to bridge the gap between the academia and industry.The students of mechanical engineering work in a number of projects that involve the use of design software’s. Some of the areas are listed below:

During the workshop,the students of KEC will get a hands-on experience on the following components,

AutoCAD as an architectural planning tool: It comes with a user-interface with built-in design lay-outs. The lay-outs contain numerous templates specially designed for architectural planning and building construction. The latest versions of AutoCAD come with analytical tools. The tools can analyze the components of a building to troubleshoot stress and load levels of building supports. AutoCAD enables architects to design, plan, execute and interpret the strength of a structure, at the design stage level.

AutoCAD as an engineering drafting tool: You can use AutoCAD to draw accurate 2D drawings for any engineering domain and also use AutoCAD to render to 3D models to help in visualisation of the end product. It is useful for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical systems. It allows the students of KEC to design, analyze and solve design issues resulting in accurate designs.

AutoCAD as a graphic design tool: AutoCAD has innate features that enable users to plan and map out spaces and take advantage of the space available. It can be used simultaneously with 3D Max and various other application software’s including animation tools.

AutoCAD in 3D Printing:  For a 3D print of an object, one has to choose the object, get a virtual 3D representation and then feed it to the 3D printer. A 3D print has its own advantages for designers, and this is where AutoCAD helps them. It ensures file compatibility so that designs can be exported to various preferred formats.

AutoCAD in the fashion industry:  Every pattern and design of jewellery does not come by chance; it is the result of careful planning and designing. AutoCAD has the tools necessary for planning intricate designs for the manufacture of jewellery, toys and other delicate objects.
