Expert Lecture on “Industry Academia Interaction:Bridging the gap”
“Nobody talks of Entrepreneurship as survival, but that’s what exactly it is and what nurtures creative thinking“. Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. With the same mind set, Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Expert lecture on “Industry Academia Interaction: Bridging the gap“ at Krishna Engineering College, Ghaziabad.
As Academia and industry share a symbiotic relationship. Academia produces graduates who are absorbed by industry. The guest of the day was Mr. Hitesh Garg, General Manager, Ghaziabad MechFab Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Garg said, “Availability of high caliber manpower will be one of the critical success factors for meeting several challenges.” He lists these as reengineering of business processes and workflows and awareness amongst decision makers. He also explained that, “Skills required include leadership which involves the appreciation of the value of location as key information parameter and at the executive level a willingness to reengineer existing business processes and workflows. At the technology level, there is a need for solution architects, database analysts, developers with domain knowledge and expertise on contemporary geospatial technology. Last but not least, project management skills top the skill-set.” Industry can participate in collaboration with academia through Train the Trainer programmes, course curriculum review, internship for students, technology updates, support in establishing laboratories and research projects. -

Department of Computer Science and Engineering under the IEEE Student chapter of KEC has organized Guest Lecture on BLOCKCHAIN & ITS APPLICATION on 12 September 2019.
Blockchain is essentially a way of keeping records and can be used in almost any product that uses some sort of record keeping or database management. Blockchain is great for protecting any data that needs to be tamper-resistant, and indestructible.
Blockchain is mostly useful when it eliminates a third party whose main responsibility is maintaining trust (e.g. banks) and the most promising start-ups in blockchain would be in the infrastructure/API level so that other companies improve their already existing solutions based on these start-ups. Blockstack, BlockCypher, Brave, and BitMark are my favorite blockchain startups.
