It is often said that healthy mind lives in a healthy body! Hence, at KEC we ensure that your sojourn with us is pleasant and healthy. However, life is rarely that simple and it’s very likely that our scholars may encounter a few health issues, welfare or other kinds of difficulties during this time. For many of them this could be a period of transitions: from youth to adulthood; from school to college; from home life to campus life; from elsewhere to KEC; and towards independent responsibility.

Psychological well-being problems have become increasingly common among college students nowadays, especially undergraduate students who are prone to psychological problems. For young people beginning studies, this is usually a very positive, exciting and fun period. However, it is perfectly normal to also feel demanding, disorientating, tiring and difficult at times. There might also be times, when you need some kind of further help hence, like all respectable colleges, KEC takes students’ health and welfare seriously and provides a range of facilities and services.

  • a) Personal Responsibility & Partnership

    We all are individually responsible for our own personal wellbeing.

    We all are individually responsible for our own personal well-being. Yet, this can be challenging for the ones who hail from a supportive home environment, and the transition to independence might take some time. However, it is an important and inevitable phase of emerging adulthood and it’s highly crucial at this stage to accept this responsibility thereby, making it part of your life.

    Of course, while our own well-being is our personal responsibility, yet KEC is the willing partner in achieving and maintaining it. For this to be truly effective, students must demonstrate the kind of personal responsibility which allows them to take up the support on offer, or call for extra support as and when needed.

  • b) Doctors, Medical Practices and Emergencies

    College has a full-fledged Medical-Wing consisting of two doctors and a technician. The medical services are available free of cost to Students.

  • c) After-Hours Medical Help

    A round the clock Ambulance Service is available in the campus, in case of any emergency patient can be taken to and admitted in nearby Narinder Mohan Hospital & Heart Centre which is located just at a distance of 500 meters from the college.

  • d) Psychologists/Counselors

    Being at college usually means going through several changes, some of which can be demanding on you both physically and mentally.  Arriving in a new city and starting a new course of study is exciting, but it might also feel daunting and unfamiliar. In itself, this is perfectly normal and should be expected – after all, the whole idea is to step outside your comfort zone and extend your capacity for work and life.Wherever you're from, take some time to settle in, participate in activities, make friends and be sure to look out for each other, yourself and your welfare so that you stay happy and healthy, and get the most out of your time at KEC.

    KEC has its own team of Counselors devoted to supporting its students. This team of Certified Counselors is a part of KEC’s Student Services.The counselors are experienced in counseling students in a range of personal and study-related issues. The meetings are strictly confidential and free of charge. Basis initial meeting and the nature of the case, further sessions are curated for the students.

  • e) Sports & Recreation:

    Staying mobile and active always contributes positively in our life. Some form of sports or recreation is therefore vital to develop a healthy lifestyle for a sound mind and body. For some of us this will be a new resolution – a new commitment to incorporate exercise into our daily life. For others, it may already be an integral part of their lives to be involved in competitive sports or some recreational hobbies. Either way, at KEC there are countless opportunities for us to stay active and vivacious.

    Also, KEC actively encourages its members to stay active, fit and healthy by facilitating a wide range of sports and recreational committees. For those who would like to participate in sports like Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Cricket, Tennis and Skating there is a group of students on campus ready to help you get started.

    In addition to sports there are several other activities and events organized by KEC committees which can contribute profusely to your wellbeing. To name a few, there are yoga sessions, mindfulness workshops, dance groups, theatre groups, art sessions and musical clubs running successfully round the year. These offer you several options to counterbalance or complement your academic life and explore ways to stay well.

  • f) KEC Gyms

    To promote salubrity among students, KEC offers an ultra-modern gym to students in the campus. The gym is located on the ground floor of the Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels.

  • g) KEC Sports and Recreation Committees

    KEC actively encourages its members to stay active, fit and healthy by facilitating a wide range of sports and recreational committees. For those who would like to participate in sports like Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Cricket, Tennis and Skating there is a group of students on campus ready to help you get involved!

  • h) The Natural and Copious Environment

    KEC campus offers a serene environment to relax andrejuvenate. The city of Ghaziabad is close to national capital city of Delhi which is beautiful in many ways and offers so much to students who seek peace, reconciliation, cultural discovery, sociable milieu and career progression.
