Incentives for Researchers
1. Incentive based on Impact Factor
A) The case of registration fee & reimbursement of TA & DA will be linked to the quality of research / conference / Journal.
b) No reimbursement of cost in respect of registration fee or TA/DA will be considered unless the research is being published in a Journal of repute like IEEE, ACME, IETE, IE or CSI.
c) The research paper must be published as a full paper either in the proceeding or in Journal with minimum 0.5 Impact factor.& the incentive would be paid as follows:-
Impact Factor : 1 .0 & above
Incentive (Rs.) : Up to 10000/-
Impact Factor : 0.75 – 0.99
Incentive (Rs.) : Up to 8000/-
Impact Factor : 0.5 – 0.749
Incentive (Rs.) : Up to 5000/-
d) A maximum of two research papers in an academic year shall be considered.
e) The faculty asking for incentive must be the first author in the research paper. For publishing of any research paper, faculties have to ensure that the Institute name appears as affiliated college in the published work, failing which the incentive/reimbursement will be denied.
f) Also for research/conferences/paper publication abroad, over & above the incentive of Rs. 10,000/- or 75% of the travel cost whichever is less will be given.
2. Presentation of Research Paper in Conferences:
a) The faculty would be allowed to avail one day OD (for the day of oral presentation of the paper) + registration fee upto Rs. 3000/-.
b) Each faculty can present research papers in Conferences twice in an academic year with financial assistance.
c) The research publication by the faculty member must be in line of his degree/ branch or the subject in which he/she is involved at KEC.
3. For attending Workshops/Seminars/FDPs:
a) The faculty would be allowed to avail one day OD + registration fee upto Rs. 3,000/-.
b) Each faculty can attend Workshops/Seminars/FDPs twice in an academic year with financial assistance.
c) Maximum period of ODs is limited to 5 days in lean period. Only one day OD is allowed in Academic period.
All the above cases require prior approval. All request applications for attending Conference/Workshops/Seminars/FDPs to be routed through HsOD & Dean (A) to HR. HR will process the case for final approval to the Director. All the approval & reimbursement would be communicated by HR via e-mail to the individual and respective HoD. In all such cases of research publication, where a faculty has been provided any of the above mentioned incentive, he/she must share the concept outcome with departmental faculties & students within next 15 days & a written report to be submitted to the Director through HoD.
