Academic Complex

  • Three sets of buildings comprise the Academic Complex namely Academic BLOCK I ,Academic Block II, Academic Block III , which provides classroom and lab space. In addition, academic units have faculty and staff offices here.

  • AB-I is the first building to be seen from the main KEC entrance. It houses a spacious lobby and hospitable Reception, Director’s Office, Administrative Manager’s Office, Account’s Office, Registrar’s Office and various other Administrative Offices. The building also accommodates the departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Civil Engineering with adequate number of Classrooms, Laboratories and Faculty Rooms. The basement of the building encompasses Computer Labs, IOT Lab, Innovation Centre, Library and Virtual Library.

  • AB-II is located behind AB-I and houses Mechanical Engineering Department with adequate number of well furnished classrooms, state-of-the-art Laboratories and Faculty Cabins catering to all the academic activities of the students. The classrooms are equipped with projectors to enable learning through animations.

  • AB-III is located near the amphitheatre and houses Applied Sciences Department conducting B. Tech. first year academics for all streams. The building provides space for sufficient number of Classrooms, Laboratories and a separate Workshop. The Computer Laboratory and Applied Sciences Laboratories are fully equipped with ultra-modern instruments. All classrooms are capacious and air conditioned fitted with projectors for audio-visual aided learning.

Accommodation

The college has three multistorey hostels - one Girls’ hostel and two Boys’ hostels. Hostels are equipped with lifts and have zero fly Dining Halls, Recreation Rooms, LCD TVs, Security Cameras, round-the-clock availability of Wi-Fi, Geysers for warm water, RO purified drinking water, Gymnasium and Indoor Games facilities.

To make conducive environment for the holistic development of students, the Institute ensures provisioning of all basic amenities in the hostels which includes well lit and adequately ventilated spacious rooms furnished with bed, Study Table and Wi-Fi connectivity for Internet with 24 hours power back-up. Adequate numbers of sanitized bathrooms / toilets are provided in every block of the hostel complex. Kitchen offers a palatable multi-cuisine menu to provide three whole-some meals a day to the resident students.

Auditorium

KEC has a well built auditorium with a sitting capacity of 300 people. It is equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia and projection system. It is frequently used for Presentations, Seminars, Fests and other events of the college. There are separate Seminar and Conference Halls for conducting various Departmental & External Seminars, Workshops and Conferences.

Cafeteria

While studying......Students often get so famished & tired that Food & Rest cannot appear to them except in the form of CANTEEN, and KEC provides an amazing café experience for its Students, Staff and Faculty in the college campus with its fully furnished and well maintained Cafeteria. The cafeteria is not just a food joint but a place to relax, interact, rejuvenate and take a refuge from the daily hectic schedule. It is a large centrally air-conditioned cafeteria consisting of hygienic eateries, namely Krishna Café and Krishna Mini Canteen with availability of varieties of Indian & Chinese Snacks & Foods. The whole ambience of the cafeteria is so soothing and delightful that it tempts one to come here again and again.

  • Classroom

    KEC has fully air-conditioned, spacious Classroom Halls and Tutorial Rooms that have been thoughtfully designed to provide a high-quality learning ambience. Classrooms at KEC have been planned in a meticulous way to bring together analysis with action. Moreover, classrooms are augmented with integrated audio-visual teaching aids for Lectures, Presentations and Buzz Sessions. The finest teaching aids and latest multimedia technology enable faculty members to hold interactive teaching sessions with students and make learning a unique experience. The Teaching-Learning pedagogy practiced in the KEC classrooms is IT-enabled. The KEC campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled which facilitates students with accessibility to discuss academic topics, submit assignments online, get class notes and access the digital library.

KEC has state-of-the-art, well equipped and fully air-conditioned laboratories. It enables students to stay abreast of changing trends in today’s industrial structure and make full use of this facility to hone their skills. The college recognizes the key role that IT plays in teaching as well as research. Therefore, it is committed to provide computing facilities of the highest standards. Mentors and Lab Assistants are present round the clock to help students enhance their knowledge. KEC focuses more on practical knowledge of students to make them sound engineers. Different departments provide different lab activities and extreme focus is given on embracing the new technical skills.

Atulya Library

  • The state-of-the-art library of KEC is located at the heart of the academic complex and serves as the abode of knowledge where students as well as faculty members can delve deeper into their subjects and derive benefit from the library’s commitment of providing high-quality resources and services. The library has been incessantly making efforts to develop a robust collection of learning resources to provide an easier access to knowledge. In our quest for excellence we have achieved many milestones.

  • The fully air conditioned KEC Library is spread over 1005 sqm and has sufficient seating capacity to accommodate its avid readers thereby, inspiring the learning and the research. It is also equipped with a reference section, a separate reading section for students and faculty members, Digital Section for OPEC, Online Journals, NPTEL facility and DELNET resource sharing. In order to effectively capitalize on the opportunities, the library also subscribes to online Journals, Periodicals and Regional and National Newspapers and possesses substantial collection of CD’s covering the latest programs.

  • KEC is a proud owner of more than 80000 books on Engineering, Applied Science, Humanities, General and Competitive books and so on. It also has NDL Membership for online journals and DELNET membership for resource sharing and is fully automated with RAMLIB software with bar coding system. Our Resource Centre collection is growing by leaps and bounds and we are looking forward to add more and more unique titles every year.

  • The Digital KEC Library provides visual media in all formats to support Teaching and Research. The collection includes DVDs and CD-ROMs. There are 10 multimedia PCs to use on a walk-in basis in the Digital Library. Users can access Digital Library from anywhere in the campus through IP. An online catalogue of CDs / DVDs is also available for their reference.

  • Rich collection of Open E-resources.

  • The Central Library subscribes to National and International journals as per AICTE norms in electronic as well as print form in the fields related to science, engineering, technology, management and humanities. Currently we are subscribed to 90 print journals.

  • Access to E-books such as Ebook4free, Fiction Book, Downloadable Engineering Books and Tech Books.

  • 24*7 Wi-Fi enabled library
