The aim of mechanical department to give graduates the necessary skills but also to shape the thinking and team-working spirit to ensure the best prospects for successful careers and / or further study within the heavy demands of modern times.
To acquire the knowledge, Department develops suitable theoretical background studies with state of art laboratory and hand on skills training, and department infrastructure for applied technology research. By obtaining theoretical and applied scientific training, our graduates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the particularly demanding market in the best possible way.

The faculty has succeeded in keeping a lively atmosphere among the students, with timely up gradations in the curriculum and innovative teaching techniques. Emphasis is also laid on making student innovative and acquires requisite skills to be successful entrepreneurs. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. We are highly ambitious, hopeful and optimistic about the future placement scenario of our students. Many of our Alumni are well-placed in reputed organizations. INTERNATIONAL ELECTRIC-SOLAR VEHICLE CHAMPIONSHIP 2013- 2014 ” Was Organised by Robotics and Intelligent System Community and Lovely Professional University(RISC–LPU) to design and fabricate a single seated vehicle which is operated by DC motor; Where power source was battery as well as Solar Panel. Two teams participated, Namely “SHAURYE” (Total 20 Members) and “The Stalwarts”(Total 22 Members). Out of total 102 Teams registered , only 87 competed for Virtual Round. 36 teams made it in Final Dynamics round held at LPU Jalandhar.
Himanshu Singh (2010-14) : Selected as Air Force Officer. Mohit Singhal (2008-12) : Currently pursuing MS from Italy University. students have cleared various Government Sector Exams.
